Mortgage Fraud and the Realtor

The Purpose of this course is to help you
understand the effects of mortgage fraud on the real estate practitioner,
borrower, seller and lender.
With all the various types of
mortgages available in the market today it is important to know how to protect
yourself and your clients. This course
will help you to understand the effects of mortgage fraud on communities and
local, state and national economies.
You will also, understand how
to compare and contrast different acts of fraud and to recognize the “red
Flags” indicating the possible presence of mortgage fraud.
Finally you will learn how to
avoid being actively or passively involved in fraudulent schemes.
Howell M. Haunson regularly delivers
lively and interesting interactive seminars on topics
such as real estate
contracts, fair housing practices, mortgage fraud, renovation lending,
understanding the HUD-1 Settlement Statement, real property law and many
others.
He will be instructing a new class every
month through February (except for December) on topics that are of prime
importance to the real estate professional and enthusiast.

This class is not a prerequisite for licensure as a salesperson or broker.
Attendance for “in class” courses
You must be on time and present for the
entire session for credit. Make up for
missed time is entirely up to the teacher’s discretion and may not be offered at all Classes
offered in our Roswell, Georgia Campus
must have at least 10 students registered for the class to be held. Should we not meet the minimum number of
students a full refund will be issued and/or a new class time scheduled.
Schools
homework, examination and grading policy for “in class” courses
Homework may be required by the instructor for some, but not all
classes. Homework must be turned in at
the beginning of the next class unless deemed otherwise by the instructor. Most classes will not require an
examination. A grade of 75 or better is
a passing grade and standard grading procedures will apply.
If an exam is to be given, you will find
notification in the course description.
All examinations will be graded by the proper authority. A report of the grade will be given to the
student, but tests will not be returned.
Students WILL NOT pass any class if any
class time was missed and not made up.

No recruiting for employment opportunities
for any real estate brokerage firm is allowed in this class or on the school
